Lecture series in Indore Dadabadi on Jainism


Sri Jain Vidya Adhyayan Sansthan, a newly established Jain education and training center at Dadabadi, Rambagh, Indore has been organizing series of lectures on various topics related to Jainism. Program was started from November 11, 2011 and has been continuing through all Sundays since then. They have organized seven lectures at a stretch so far. The organization has invited noted Jain scholars likes of Dr. Sagarmal Jain. Last lecture of the series will be delivered by Mr. Virendra Nahar, Director of the institute on the topic Jainism and physics.

Jyoti Kothari, Jaipur has delivered his speech on December 18, Sunday about Jeev and Ajeev. He explained Jeev and Ajeev according to Jain metaphysics and added that knowing Jeev and Ajeev is essential part of Jainism and spirituality. He also explained Ahimsa, non-violence. Mahattara Sadhwi Sri Vinita Sri Ji and her desciples were also present during the lecture.

It is worth noted that the institute, motivated by Adhyatmayogi Pujya Mahendrasagar Ji Maharaj, is running a training institute and a Jain library inside the dadabadi premises, Rambagh, Indore.

Volunteering for Paryushana Pravachana

Jyoti Kothari, Jaipur has been volunteering himself for Paryushana Pravachana since 1984. He had been to Tokyo, capital of Japan last year for Paryushana Pravachana. He will be delivering Paryushana Pravachana at Jineshwar Suri Bhawan, Kolkata this year 2009 during 17 to 24 August.

He had also been to Bangkok, Indore, Hyderabad, Patna, Chandrapur, Malegaon, Ajmer, Byabar, Jaipur, Durg, Lucknow etc for Paryushana Pravachana during those years.

Paryushanas of Jyoti Kothari

Jyoti Kothari has been volunteering himself for Paryushana program since last 25 years. He started doing this from Gangapur city in Rajasthan 1984. Since then he had been in many places in India and abroad for the purpose. Normally he goes to a place where there is no Chaturmasa of Sadhu-Sadhvis. He will be in Kolkata for Paryushana this year 2009.
