Facts about Malpura

There is an ill publicity since few days about Malpura Dadabadi. Some people are doing propaganda that the original "Charan" is removed from its place. It is far beyond the fact  The original "Charan". is well in its place and nothing happened to it.

There was "Vilepan" (Coating pearls) over the Charan. This is a well recognized process in Jain traditions to protect old statues, idols etc. However, some people were not happy with this Vilepan. Looking in to people perception the "Vilepan" has been removed and the Charan has regained its old status.

Large numbers of people are visiting Malpura continually and paying their homage to dada Jin Kushal Suri. Please visit Malpura and pay homage to the reverend Dadaguru dev.

You can see Hindi version and photos taken after removal of Vilepan beneath.

Pennsylvania scholar reading at library, Malpura Dadabadi

An American research scholar Steven Vose visited library in Malpura Dadabadi on November 26, 2010. Steven Vose is conducting research on Khartar Gachchh Acharya Sri Jinprabha Suri. Steven is a post graduate from Harward University and persuading his Ph. D degree from Pennsylvania University in the US. His topic includes Dada Jin Kushal Suri too. He visited Kekdi and Malpura Dadabadi along with Jyoti Kothari. He also expressed his willingness to a long stay in Malpura Dadabadi to extend his studies

Sri Jinprabha Suri is a 14th century Jain Acharya belonging to Laghu Khartar Shakha. He is contemporary to Dada Jin Kushal Suri. Jinprabha Suri influenced Mohammad Bin Tuglak, the then Sultan of Delhi. He is among the most famous and influencing Acharya of Khartar Gachchh.

It is worth noted that several European and American scholars are interested in the history and literature of Khartar Gachchh. "Absent Lord" by Alan Babb is included in the catalog of Khartar Gachchh literature.

It is worth to develop Malpura a study center of Jain and Jainism especially Khartar Gachchh.

View Mohanbadi Swetambar Jain Temple in a larger map

Mohanbadi is one of the historical Swetambar Jain religious place in Jaipur situated between Surajpole gate and Galta at Surajpole road, Jaipur. The premises is managed by Shri Jain Swetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur.

Sri Sanwalia Parasnath Temple and Dadabadi were built in the 18h century. We are in process of collecting and publishing history of this Jain heritage site.

There are black colored stone idol of Sanwalia Parasnath and a white marble feet print of Lord Rishabhdev, the Adinath along with some other idols and Dada Jin Kushal Suri feet print. The temple is an explicit example of Mogul- Rajput school of architecture with beautiful wall paintings.

An old Dadabadi along with Shantivijay Suri Guru Mandir are also situated in this premises in the left side of the Parasnath temple.

Funeral ceremonials of Jain monks and nuns (Sadhu / Sadhwi) are used to take place at Mohanbadi since centuries. Samadhi Mandir of several Jain saints such as Shivji Ram Ji Maharaj, Pujya Jayanand muni, Pujya Punya Sri Ji Maharaj, Samata Murti Sri Vichakshan Sri ji Maharaj and Agam Jyoti Pravartini Sri Sajjan Sri ji Maharaj are built inside the premises.

Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur is building a five floored air conditioned Dharamshala with all modern amenities at Mohanbadi premises.
