Makar Sankranti, Kite festival in Jaipur photos with Brian Brazeal and Lilian Haidar


Vardhaman Infotech celebrated Makar Sankranti, Kite festival in Jaipur with full enthusiasm with our special guests Professor Brian Brazeal, California State University and Lilian Haidar, Professional photographer, New York, US. The kite festival was celebrated with our team, family and friends. Jaipur celebrates Makar Sankranti in a special way and people from all over the world come to enjoy the kite festival. Our guests from America also enjoyed the festival and roof top party organized by the IT company.

Everybody enjoyed the party at the roof top flying kites, singing and dancing. Our special guest Lilian Haidar shoot several photographs of the kite festival and party. Jyoti Kothari shoot photos of the guests Brian Brazeal and Lilian Haidar.

Brian Brazeal and Lilian Haidar, US will celebrate Makar Sankranti

Professor Brian Brazeal and Lilian Haidar, US will celebrate Makar Sankranti  at Vardhaman Infotech tomorrow. They came from California and New York respectively to pursue their research work and to enjoy holidays. They stayed in Jaipur for couple of weeks and leave Jaipur after Makar Sankranti.

Both of them will celebrate Makar Sankranti, kite festival in Jaipur along with proprietor and stave of Vardhaman Infotech on January 14. Lilian Haidar is a professional photographer and filmmaker and she will shoot kite festival from the roof top of Vardhaman Infotech.

Wel come to Jaipur Kite festival on Makar Sankranti

Happy Makar Sankranti !

Makar Sankranti is a festival of India that comes on January 14 every year. The Sun goes to uttarayan (popularly spoken as utran) from this day according to Indian astrology.

Makar is tenth Rashi (Zodiac) and Sankranti means transition. Hence, Makar Sankranti means transition of the Sun from the zodiac Makar. People goes to Ganga Sagar near Kolkata, West Bengal, to take a bath on Makar Sankranti.

Makar Sankranti is also a kite flying festival or kite festival in many parts of India. Jaipur in Rajasthan and Gujrat are famous for their kite festivals.
 
Kumbh Mela also starts on the day of Makar Sankranti and people go for bath in holy Ganga or in Triveni. Large number of people are expected to assemble in Haridwar this year for Kumbh Snan on January 14, 2010, the day of Makar Sankranti.
