Indian Home remedies

Home remedies: Why?
There are ailments and remedies. There are many referred as home remedies. Home remedies are easy and cost you almost nothing.
Medical bills are going higher and higher. Large numbers of people can not afford their medical bills. It is more difficult to afford medical bills at the time ofeconomic slow down and recession. Large number of people have lost theirjobs or left with poor pay scale all over the world. Business persons are facing tremendous crisis and investors have been loosing money on their shares, stocks, bonds etc. Situation is worse in developed countries like America, the US,UK, European Union countries, Canada, Japan, Australia etc. China, Brazil andIndia are in comparatively better condition.
Home remedies are particularly very important nowadays. Indian people have been using various home remedies since ancient times. They are continuing to do so till date. Though most of the urban population in India are now switching towards modern medications rural population still believe in home remedies in most of the cases.
I will describe some of the home remedies used frequently in India. These can be useful for the people of America, the US and other countries in rest of the world.

Home remedies: Dysentery and acidity

Dysentery
Dysentery and acidity are common diseases. Large numbers of people all over the world suffer from these diseases. Dysentery is a common cause of child death in many countries. The world health organization (WHO) have a cause of concern with the disease dysentery. WHO supply ORS solution free of cost to many countries to prevent dysentery.
Sugar and salt solution is used as home remedy to prevent dysentery in India. It is easy to use medicine to prevent the disease. Just take a glass of drinking water and pour couple of sugar spoons and add some common salt (NaCl) to it and prepare a solution. It can save a life by supplying necessary salt and nutrient. It helps retaining water in the body.
Please remember that this solution is not a medicine for dysentery but it help retaining water in the body. Dysentery takes water away from the body which maycause death.
Combination of tea leaves and sugar is also used as home remedy in dysenteryand loose motion. It works as alternate medicine. One has to take a spoonful of tea leaves combining with two spoonful of sugar. Just intake it with simple drinking water. It will help to stop loose motion. This is a common home remedy in Indiawhich is taken as alternative medicine.
Perhaps above mentioned home remedies are not common in America, the US, Canada, Brazil, Australia, the UK or in the European Union or other parts of the world. Purpose of writing this article in the hub mob weekly is to make them aware of these Indian home remedies to be used as alternate medicine.
Acidity
Acidity is among common ailments. It is a symptom of indigestion caused byovereating or similar. Combination of sugar and tea leaves also helps in acidity.
Drinking a cup of water mixed with a spoon of rose water (Commonly available in Indian homes) is also an excellent way to get rid of acidity. This alternate medicine is commonly used in India as home remedy for acidity.
One can also take a cup of tea added with rose water as an alternate medicinefor acidity.

Alternative medicine: Burn and wound

Burn
It is a common practice in Indian homes especially in the Indian kitchens to treat simple burns with saline water. Common salt is easily available in any kitchen. It is also common to burn fingers while cooking. People use saline water while burn their fingers in the kitchen as home remedy. They use solution of water and salt and rub it on burn just like an ointment. It provides relief.
People also use tooth paste on burn as common home remedy. Glycerin in the tooth paste works wonderfully on burn.
Wound
Rural people and farmers used to rub calendula (Mary gold) leaves on their wound. It helps stop bleeding and also works as an antiseptic. Turmeric powder is also used as an herbal or home medicine in wounds. Turmeric powder is an excellent antiseptic.
It is difficult to apply an ointment if one has a cut in tongue, leaps or some inner parts in mouth. However, it is easy to put some sugar there. It helps stop bleeding.
Lime is a common ingredient of Indian food. Indians put lime mixed with water for few months to make it cool and make a paste of it. This paste also works wonderfully to stop bleeding by supplying calcium locally. It helps in blood clotting.
A combination of lime and turmeric powder is an excellent home remedy forpain. If one has has a hit on bone causing pain he or she can use this. Prepare a paste of lime mixing with turmeric powder and heat. Rub this hot paste over the area of pain. It absorbs pain fast.

KALQ keyboard first time launched by Indians

KALQ keyboard launched

KALQ keyboard, a smarter and faster thumb-based typing keyboard is launched by Indians! Congratulations!! Vardhaman Infotech has launched an Android mobile application - the world's first KALQ keyboard.

Large numbers of people downloaded the application worldwide and it is spreading. The present keyboard app works on Android tabs and large phones only. Darshan Kothari of Vardhaman Infotech informed that his team is working to make it compatible with other Android phones. They believe it to bring a newer version very soon.

KALQ Research

Researchers in University. of St. Andrews developed a new keyboard that works better than present QWERTY keyboards in smartphones. Darshan Kothari and his team at Vardhaman Infotech, Jaipur, India quickly developed an Android application for smartphones and launched it free in the Google play store on April 30, 2013. They developed it only five days after the research paper published. MPI-INF (Max Planck Institute for Informatics), Montana Tech, a renowned organization has yet to launch the application (though announced much earlier)!!

However, few researchers did not take it with sportsman spirit. One of the team members Myroslav Bachynskyi posted a warning at the Google play store that this is not official! How ridiculous!!! It is officially launched by Vardhaman Infotech. Of course, it is not an official release of MPI-INF (Max Planck Institute for Informatics), Montana Tech and nowhere in the app, it is claimed to be of the institute.

Instead of appreciating the effort taken by an Indian in developing the app at such a fast speed, they have started condemning it.

News in European Newspapers about KALQ Keyboard

However, some European newspapers published the news with due importance. See two pieces of news.

Typing on a tablet or large smartphone is faster if your keyboard is specially adapted for control with your thumbs, new research shows. For that reason, Vardhaman Infotech decided to make an Android app with a KALQ keyboard. (English translation)

Indian government will table Lokpal bill in the parliament Thursday

Indian government will table Lokpal bill in the parliament on Thursday, December 22, 2011. Cabinet of ministers have approved the draft today, December 20. The cabinet have made few changes in the draft to bring Prime minister with certain conditions under Lokpal.  However, neither CBI nor grade 'C' employees are brought under Lokpal. The cabinet of ministers have agreed to bring grade 'C' employees under CVC.

The parliament will debate over the proposed Lokpal bill to pass it.  Winter session of the parliament is extended for three days for the purpose.

The cabinet does not include most of the provisions suggested by team Anna.

Anna Hazare is fighting for Janlokpal bill since several months. Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India assured Anna to bring strong Lokpal bill. Hazare broke his fast after the assurance. However, government has failed to keep the promise and it is obvious that Anna will start his fast from December 27.

Anna Hazare has invited leaders of all major political parties to discuss Janlokpal bill. He has invited BJP, CPI(M) and even the Congress party. He has sent invitation to Congress president Sonia Gandhi. It is worth mention that the Congress party had engaged in bitter arguments with Anna Hazare.

Anna Hazare has declared that he would seat for symbolic fast of a day on December 11, 2011 in Delhi, capital of India in support of Jan Lokpal bill. Anna is advocating for a strong Jan Lokpal bill since long time. Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India has assured him to pass strong Lokpal bill in this winter session of parliament. Discussion on Dasahara and Vijaya Dasami in Gulabi Nagar Vichar Manch, Jaipur

Gulabi Nagar Vichar Manch organized a discussion on Dasahara and Vijaya Dasami today on the eve of the said festival. It is worth noted that Gulabi Nagar Vichar Manch has been organizing weekly discussions on various topics since 1983. They organize it every Sinday.

Late Girdharilal Bhargav, MP, Jaipur and Late Dr. Ujala Arora, Minister, Rajasthan were the founder of this Manch.

Darshan Kothari, Chief speaker of the program told that Dasahara and Vijaya Dasami are one of the main festivals of Hindu Communities. Dasahara is a Kshatriya festival according to Hinduism. Rakhi is for Brahmins, Diwali for Vaisya and Holi for Shudra communities. These classifications are according to work distributions. All four sects celebrate and enjoy all four festivals. However, the nature of these festivals are liable for such classification. Kshatriya community worship their arms and weapons on the eve of Dasahara.

Rajasthan is the land of brave Rajputs. Hence, Dasahara has a great importance for them.
It is Vijaya Dasami in West Bengal. Bengali community enjoys "Kolakoli" in this day. Vijaya Dasami comes just after Durga Puja, the greatest festival of Bengal. Lord Rama (Ram) conquered Ravan (Demon King) on this day.

Tejkaran Parashar told that Dasahara is the establishment day of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a great volunteer organization of India.
