Hindu and Jain festivals in September - October 2014

The season for Hindu and Jain festivals have tarted. there are many in this September and coming  October 2014. Large numbers of people search for dates of festivals and want to know significance and importance of these Hindu and Jain festivals.

I have written several detailed media rich articles with related photos and videos in Hubpages where I I love to write on various topics. First of all I am writing about the festivals of Shraddh Paksh (Pitru Paksh),  Navratri, Durga Puja and Dashara - Vijaya Dasami (Hindu festivals), Navpad Oli (Jain festival) and Dhan Teras - Diwali along with dates of these Indian festivals. Diwali festival includes Govardhan Pooja and Bhai Dooj.

Most of these festivals are celebrated not only in India but worldwide by Indian communities.  I hope you will celebrate and enjoy these festivals on dates mentioned below according to your faith and belief.

Ashwina Navratri and Dashara dates in 2014

Sharadiya Navratri (Ashwin) starts from September 25 Thursday this year 2014. Shashthi will be on September 30 and Maha Saptami, Ashtami and Navami will be falling on October 1, 2, and 3 respectively.Dashara alias Vijaya Dasami will be on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Click the link below:

Navpad Mandal Pujan in Azimganj tomorrow on the eve of Navpad Oli

 Navpad Mandal Pujan will be organized at Sri Neminath Swami temple tomorrow. Navpad Mandal Pujan is organized every year on the last day of Navpad Oli in Azimganj since many many years.

This is a gorgeous program organized with full enthusiasm. Shaharwali people of Azimganj worship Navpad conducting Navpad Oli with full devotion and enthusiasm since centuries. Navpad Mandal Pujan is so famous in Azimganj that people living outside Azimganj also come and join this puja. 

Sri Sangh of Azimganj will organize this Puja tomorrow, October 22, 2010.

Sri Pradyot Sethia, a Shaharwali living in Jaipur reported this telephonically. He is now at Azimganj and worshiping Navpad Oli along with some others from Azimganj.

Meanwhile, Sri and Srimati  Ratichand Bothra of Azimganj are worshiping Navpad Oli in Malpura Dadabadi. He sponsored Navpad Puja here today.

Siddhachakra Mahapujan and Navpad Puja in Malpura Dadabadi

Navpad Oli (Ayambil Oli) festival is being celebrated in Malpura Dadabadi with Enthusiasm.Large numbers of people from different parts of India are observing Ayambil to worship Navpad (Navpad Oli). A three days' special program of Pujas is organized in these occasion.

Siddhachakra Mahapujan was conducted yesterday, the seventh day of Navpad Oli. The Mahapujan was conducted in The Vasupujya Swami temple in the Dadabadi campus. Param Pujya Sadhwi Sri Chandrakala Sri Ji and Maniprabha Sri Ji also attended the program.

The Puja was conducted with gorgeous decoration of Siddhachakra Mandal. Dasot family of Tonk sponsored this program. Jyoti Kothari, conducted rituals and explained importance of Siddhachakra, Navpad and Siddhachakra Mandal. He explained that Navpad alias Siddhachakra is the main cause of liberation, enlightenment as well as earthly fortune. This is also the principle and root cause of all spirituality.

Vidhikarak Premchand Srisrimal assisted him in conducting rituals and performing pujan. Mahila Mandal of Balaghat and Sangeet mandal of Pali performed musical sessions of devotional songs. The entire program was held on October 20, 2010.

Navpad Puja, sponsored by Sri Ratichand Bothra, Azimganj,  was organized on October 21. Mahila Mandal, Balaghat participated actively in this Pujan. It was the eighth day of Navpad Oli.

Navpad Oli program in Jaipur and Malpura Dadabadi

Navpad Oli starts from October 14, 2010, Ashwin Shukla Saptami. This nine days festival will prolong till Sharad Purnima, October 22.

Sri Jain Shwetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur will organize Navpad Oli both in Jaipur and Malpura.

Navapad Oli will be celebrated in Jaipur at Shiv Ji Ram Bhawan in the auspices of  P.P. Sanyamnidhi Shree Ji, Atmanidhi Shree ji. There will be arrangement of Ayambil at the Sangh Bhawan. Daily Pravachan on Sripal Ras will be held at Vichakshan Bhawan in the morning hours.

Navpad Oli (Ayambil Oli) will be celebrated in Malpura Dadabadi in he auspices of P.P. Chandrakala Shree Ji and P.P. Maniprabha Shree Ji Maharaj. Navpad Puja will be conducted in the afternoon on first six days of the Navpad Oli. There will be Siddhchakra Mahapujan on the seventh day, i.e. October 20. Navapad Mahapujan will be on 21 and Dadaguru Dev Pujan will be organized on October 22, Sharad Purnima.

Three days long Vichakshan Smrii Samaroha will be organized on 17, 18 and 19 October. Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur will organize all these program in Malpura Dadabadi.

Navpad Oli (Ayambil Oli) begins on October 14, 2010

Navpad Oli (Ayambil Oli) will begin on October 14, 2010. Navpad Oli will continue till October 22. Sharad Purnima falls on this day, October 22.

Jain community will observe nine days' Ayambil (Amil) during these nine days of Navpad Oli. Navpad Oli will be observed in different parts of India.

Sri Jain Swetambar Khartar Gachchh Sangh, Jaipur will organize great ceremony on this eve at Malpura Dadabadi on the auspices of Param Pujya Sadhwi Maniprabha Sri Ji.

Navpad Oli starts today

Navpad, Siddhachakra Yantra

Rambag Jain Temple, Azimganj

 Navpad Oli is starting from today. This is Chaitra Oli starting from Chaitra Shukla Saptami, March 22, 2010 and will prolong till March 30, Chaitra Shukla Purnima. Navpad Oli comes twice in a year, in Chaitra and in Ashwina.

This is nine days Jain festival dedicated to Navpad alias Siddha Chakra. Jain people observe nine days Ayambil (A special type of fast) to offer their homage to Navpad (Siddhachakra), the nine ultimate virtues of the universe. Navpad or Siddhachakra has ultimate value in Jainism.

These nine ultimate "Pad: (Post) are as follow:
1. Arihant
2. Siddha
3. Acharya
4. Upadhyaya
5. Sadhu
6. Samyag Darshan
7. Samyag Jnyana (Gyan)
8. Samyag Charitra
9. Samyag Tapa

Jain observes one pad each day, first pad on the first day, second pad on the second day and so on. Today, the first day is to observe "Arihant" pad.

Navpad Mandal Pujan and Dadabadi Bhumi Pujan at Azimganj

 Bhumi Pujan and Khanan Muhurt of Dadabadi is done at Azimganj on Cctober 4 2009 morning 6 o' clock. Azimganj Shree Sangh has also organized Navpad Mandal Pujan on the same day at 10 o' clock.
Nakoda Bhairav Mahapujan was organized a day before at Sri Neminath Temple. Dadaguru Pujan and Ayambil tapa in group was also organized on october 4.

Satrah Bhedi Puja was organized on October 5 to celebrate Siddhi tap of Sadhwi Ji. Puja was followed by Sadharmi Vatsalya.

Eight persons have completed their Navpad Oli tap and participated in Udyapan. Names as follows:

Navpad Oli begins from September 26


Navpad Oli, a Jain festival will be starting from September 26 this year 2009. The Navapad is also referred as Siddhachakra. Jain community worship Navapad by performing nine Ayambil in nine days between Shukla Saptami and Purnima of lunar month Ashwina. The Navpad Oli is also observed in Chaitra.


Azimganj people has been observing Navapd Oli since long time with great enthusiasm and devotion. Azimganj Jain Sangh also performs Siddhacakra Mahapujan that is also refereed as Navpad Mandal Pujan every year at Sri Neminath Swami Jain Temple.

Mandal ji Puja will be performed on October 4 this year 2009.
